LI Man Arrested For Long List Of Crimes Including Robbing Two Banks In One Day, Police Say

A 45-year-old man has been arrested for a long list of crimes, including the robbery of a Chase Bank on Long Island.

Brian Quinn, age 45, of Rockville Center, was arrested on Monday, Jan. 11, following the attempted robbery of a Chase Bank in Oceanside, and the robbery of another Chase Bank in Baldwin, said the Nassau County Police.

According to detectives, an unknown male, later identified as Quinn, entered the Chase Bank located at 3285 Long Beach Road, and approached the teller, and demanded money, police said.

The teller recognized Quinn from a previous robbery and refused to comply. He then fled the scene.

A short time later, Quinn entered another Chase Bank located at 915 Atlantic Avenue in Baldwin. He approached the teller, announced a robbery, and demanded money. The teller complied and the subject fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

An investigation was conducted and Quinn was located at approximately 3:50 pm and arrested in Hempstead for both incidents.

During a further investigation, it was determined that Quinn was also responsible for the following incidents in Nassau County:

  • Thursday, Dec. 31 – grand larceny – Rockville Centre - Quinn allegedly stole a 2008 Honda Civic.
  • Friday, Jan. -- petit larceny – Oceanside – Stole merchandise at a Gas Station located at 2650 Long Beach Road.
  • Wednesday, Jan. 6 – robbery – Oceanside - Robbery at Chase Bank located at 3285 Long Beach Road. 
  • Friday, Jan. 8 – grand larceny – Roosevelt - Quinn allegedly stole a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee
  • Sunday, Jan. 10 – attempted burglary – Oceanside - CVS located at 70 Atlantic Ave.
  • Monday, Jan. 11 – grand larceny – Rockville Center - Quinn allegedly stole a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Quinn was charged with:

  • Two counts of petit larceny
  • Two counts of robbery
  • Grand larceny
  • Attempted burglary 
  • Attempted robbery

 He will be arraigned on Tuesday, Jan. 12, in Mineola.
